I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My Uncle Gary has inspired me. You see, Gary passed away the day after Christmas this past year and while I always knew he was an incredible, goofy and hardworking man, it wasn't until his untimely passing that I learned about the earnest, kind and benevolent legacy he had paved throughout his life. He has inspired me to not just think about helping those in need, but rather to take action and motivate others to help, too!

So, how do I get people's attention?  Do something a little shocking, of course!  In an effort to raise awareness and money, I'm shaving my head for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, 300,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. And in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease—more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined. These children and their families are asked to endure more in their early lives than is demanded of most people in their entire lives.

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I will be proud to join the festivities at St. Brendan's Inn in the incredible town of Green Bay on March 10th to get my 'new do' and celebrate thousands raised with my fellow baldies xoxo
