For those who know me, you know I love little kids and the bae-baes. I hate it when they have runny noses let alone cancer. With all that children have ahead of them, with all the firsts to come, with all the innocence that makes everyday things magical… How can I not do what I can to fight something that could swoop in and delay or take all that away? The first St. Baldrick’s event I did on a wild hair. (yeah, I went there) When I walked in the door, I saw a little girl. She was like 4 years old. Adorable blue dress and no hair. She had a scare that circled her noggin. My heart sunk and any reservations on shaving my head were gone. And I came back the next year, and the next and now, I can’t not do this? I have a great niece who has beat cancer - twice! I can't not do this! Her mom runs an annual event now too - I can't not do this!
This year will be number 12 for me! And I’m hoping to break my personal record again! For all those who have supported me in the past, my humblest of thanks. For all of you who will donate for the first time, welcome aboard! Just click the Donate button - it’s super easy. No donation is too small – no donation is too big! Need a suggestion? What do you pay your barber or hair stylist? There’s a number to work with… round up, double it, what the heck - triple it, add a zero or 4 on the end. You can do whatever you want!
Blessing to you all! I hope you are having a safe and healthy 2020 (hey, there’s another number)!
Thank you.
