I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

As you may know, I have two healthy and active boys... so much that I can't keep up some days. The thought of them being stricken with something as dibilitating as cancer make me cringe. My heart goes out to the children, parents and families that have to fight this battle. God Bless you all.

Back in 2009, I heard the very tail end of a radio interview about St. Baldrick's and on a whim and partial dare, I decided to step up to do what could to help suppor the research that would help kids with cancer. This is year 3 for me and it is one of my favorite things to do. Besides, I don't have the knees for a 5k or something like that.

Anyway - I'm shaving my size 8, fully-covered head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
