I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

The last year has been difficult for so many people around the world. Several months ago in the face of some adversities, I decided that I wanted to focus on doing something out of the ordinary for me to try to create a positive impact for a group of people in need. For numerous reasons, I decided that I would grow my hair out with the plan to (1) shave my head and partner with the worthwhile organization St. Baldrick's to raise money to help conquer kids' cancers and (2) make sure I grew my hair long enough so that I can send my hair once shaved to Wigs for Kids (another great organization) so that they can use it to make hairpieces for children that have lost their hair due to battling cancer and have lost their hair.  Through my research, I have learned that EVERY TWO MINUTES a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 (20%) of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for children.  Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Whether you can afford to make an investment of $5 or $5,000, every single dollar matters. I greatly appreciate any level of support you can provide...  Thank you in advance for your support for this very worthwhile cause!
