UPDATE: Tomorrow is the 8th Annual St. Baldricks event in Bondurant. Unfortunately, I will be unable to be there for the event. So, my plan was to shave my head today. However, I have also underwhelmed in my efforts to raise money for this tremendous cause. For those reasons, I have decided to "buy back" my hair by matching the donations I did get (THANK YOU!! to those who donated) and continue to grow my hair for the next year! Can anyone say man bun??!! Good luck to those shaving at the event, and congratulations to those who will be knighted this year. Let's kick cancer's ever-living !#$!#$!@
Though I'm more bald than I was a year ago, I'm going to go completely bald for the 8th consecutive year. I will be shaving my head again in 2017 in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, and in solidarity with the parents of these children who endure with their children, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to join the actual event on April 8, but will be shaving before that to honor these brave kids and their parents. Pictures will be posted!!
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my head to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. And, THANK YOU for your support!
