I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MettaMorphosis

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MettaMorphosis

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research and support the fight for self-love when bald. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

The team I’m a part of with my best friend, Sydney, is called MettaMorphosis. Metta, being a Pali word found in Buddhist text, means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, amity, good will, and active interest in others. Metamorphosis is defined as “a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.” We believe that through loving-kindness, good will, and interest in the well-being of those around us, we can and will transform the world and the people within it. This is our first big step towards that change and we hope that you will join us in supporting those in need and fighting childhood cancer.

We are asking for donations because every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adult standing strong against cancer. We are all loving warriors in this life; together we are unstoppable.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
