I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to support kids with cancer! Will you donate to the cause? As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research, the St. Baldrick's Foundation helps fill the funding gap each year thanks to its generous donors. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. In addition to finding cures, a lot of research funded by St. Baldrick's is focused on preventing the lifelong damage that results from surgeries, radiation and chemotherapies given while young bodies and brains are just developing. Even during treatment, kids face all kinds of side effects, some very uncomfortable, others life-threatening. That’s why St. Baldrick’s also funds research to improve supportive care for patients.
Cancer is an extremely challenging and agonizing disease for all those affected and is especially so for children. Kids with cancer hope for the same things that healthy kids hope for... They dream big, but cancer gets in the way. So I'm doing what I can to support them and help turn dreams into realities. Your donations will not only provide life-saving research funding but will also help to show support to kids with cancer. Cancer patients often lose their hair during treatment, which is very difficult for most kids. Nobody wants to feel strange and isolated because they look different. But bald looks pretty different! And sadly many kids don't have a choice like I do. By choosing to shave our heads, shavees support cancer patients and show them that they're not alone while also raising crucial funds and awareness. And we need your help to do it!
