I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed withi cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.

I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.

Why am I doing this? I shave in memory of our son David, who died of cancer at the age of 40 and in memory of a brother and two brother-in-laws who died from cancer. I shave in honor of my wife and three sisters who survived cancer, and a brother who is fighting cancer still. While I don’t count myself a cancer survivor my wife reminds that I had surgery last February to cut off a skin cancer from my ear.

I shave to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, and to show them and their parents that they are not alone. And I will shave for the 13th year , knowing the research we’re supporting will ultimately help find cures for cancers that strike all of us. I shave because I care – Will you donate $10 or more because you care. I’m proud to be a volunteer for this charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!, I hope you’ll make a donation. Check back here later to see my bald “after” photo! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail
