I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you know that several years ago I grew out my hair to donate 12" of hair to Wigs for Kids with cancer. This time I am doing the opposite!  Now, in honor of my Aunt who is currently battling an aggressive lung cancer, and in memory of my Mom who lost her battle with colon cancer, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! My brother's nephew is a survivor of childhood cancer, going through this at the same time his young mother was going through her own battle with cancer.  Fortunately both are doing great!  Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you join me in shaving your head, or if not, will you make a donation to support my fundraising goal? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
