I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I will shave my head for the fourth time at the St. Baldrick's Foundation event on March 15th, and I want to explain why. My youngest son, Crispin, was found to have Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in August 2020, when he was only two years old. It was the worst news my family and I ever got, and it changed everything for us. He had to go through months of chemotherapy, hospital visits, blood transfusions, and many tests and procedures. He lost his hair, his hunger, and his strength.

Fortunately, the wonderful doctors, nurses, and researchers who work hard to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancers helped Crispin finish his treatment in November 2022. He is now in remission. He has his hair back, his smile back, and his enthusiasm for life back. He is a cheerful and courageous little boy, and I am very proud of him.

That's why I'm shaving my head to show my support for him and all the other kids who have battled or are battling cancer. I also want to raise awareness and money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, the world's largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. They have a goal to give every child with cancer a chance to grow up and live their dreams. I would be very grateful for your donation to my fundraising page if you can. Any amount is welcome and useful. Every dollar matters and makes a difference.

Your support means a lot to me and kids like Crispin, who need our help. Thank you very much for your generosity and kindness.

Together, we can make a bald statement and a bold impact.
