I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
I don't know anyone whose life hasn't been affected by cancer. My family knows firsthand how horrible it is and it's heartbreaking to think about how scary of a time it is for these kids and how emotionally taxing it is for their families. I wish there was more that I could do for them, but shaving my head is a tiny little step to raise money to help.
I'm about to turn 35 and have essentially had the same hairstyle with little variation for the past 25 years! (It's true...ask my friends from Middle and High school and they'll tell you!) I haven't had a haircut in almost two years and it's gotten SO LONG...what a better reason to shave it all off and start from scratch than to help raise money for childhood cancer research!? It's also long enough to donate to Wigs for Kids, so it's a double whammy!
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
