I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Kappa Sigma NYC

Brooklyn L. is a 4-year old girl who was diagnosed with high risk acute lympoblastic leukemia on 02/19/2014. In the days leading up to that day, she wasn't eating much and was laying around a lot. Her parents thought she had caught a stomach virus. However on the night of Feb. 18th, things took a turn for the worse. She was very pale and her breathing just wasn't right so she was taken to the local ER. The physician thought the first blood test was wrong so they did a second set of labs but they were the same. She was transported two hours away to University of Kentucky Children's where her parents found out she had an enlarged spleen and colon from the leukemia and her hemoglobin was very low. She was in the PICU for 3 days and started treatment the very next day. Fast forward to today and she is doing so much better. She is now in Maintenance and her end of treatment day is set for 06/15/2016. She still has a long road ahead but she is flying through treatment and kicking cancer's butt!!

My name is Ahsan Nawaz and I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And unfortunately childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers -- like my awesome lil' buddy Brooklyn! :)
