I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am doing it again! For those of you who have known me a long time, you know my passion for St. Baldrick's and why I shave. For those of you who don't know me or have known me for only a short time, let me explain why I shave. I started shaving my head a decade ago. I shave because through my own relationships and my volunteer experience in hospitals I have seen the heart break and the unknowns of Childhood cancer. I shave because one day I hope no child desires to die because their cancer has returned and they cannot bare going through treatment again. I shave because one day I hope childhood cancer is another disease we can beat. I shave because I hope one day a diagnosis of cancer as a child does not mean a lifetime of side effects, fear, and often a shorter life expectancy. Mostly, I shave because I want all families facing cancer, both childhood and adult,to know that they are not alone.

Please join me in supporting families and raising awareness! I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
