After being inspired by Linda Watkins , a selfless woman who volunteered her hair cutting skills to support this event prior to her passing, I decided to participate as a hair donor.
However, as I started to talk about my desire to brave the shave, not everyone was happy about the idea (that's why you're here!). So I'm putting the question to the test of your generosity.
It turns out that those interested in seeing me bald were a bit more into donations. See what happened at stbaldricks.org/participants/YesShaveTLC!
So where will your donation go? Toward science that's exploring ways to stop childhood cancers. The cancers that kids get are different from adult cancers. Sadly childhood cancers are an extremely underfunded area of research. But we have an opportunity to do something about that right now, today.
Should my hair be donated now? Or be donated to Wigs For Kids once it's a bit longer? It's up to you to decide. Click the green DONATE button at the top of the page if you want me to donate the 18" in 2018. And know that every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
