I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

For 2016, I will be taking a bit of a different approach with fundraising for St. Baldrick's. I am now 13 years old, and this is my Bar Mitzvah year. In fact, my Bar Mitzvah is just a few days after the Stratfield School St. Baldrick's event. I did not want to shave my head right before my big day, but I did want to participate. With my family, I decided to incorporate St. Baldrick's into my Bar Mitzvah with the goals of raising even more money, spreading the word, and hopefully encouraging others to get involved.

While I am not shaving my head at the Stratfield School event, I am planning on participating in a big way this year. My first donation (made to myself) is on behalf of all of my Bar Mitzvah guests as a thank you for supporting me, and for attending this special event. At my Bar Mitzvah, all guests will be receiving a St. Baldrick's wrist band and a t-shirt. Both items will encourage all my guests to donate through my page and to get involved with St. Baldrick's.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation has been so great in providing items for my Bar Mitzvah, and I really appreciate it. Thanks to all for supporting this great cause. Together, we can end childhood cancer.
