I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mighty Mikey 2

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mighty Mikey 2

Mighty Mikey is at it again! He is growing out his crazy hair so he can shave it for St. Baldrick's! He decided at last year's event that this was something he wanted to do every single year! So he is doing just that and we are so so proud of him!!!

Even more special, this year the shave event falls on his 2 year Cancervirsary- 3/14!!!

Here is why he shaves his head for childhood cancer...

On 3/14/18, at just 7 years old Mikey was diagnosed with Chronic Myleoid Leukemia (CML). The chances of a child being diagnosed with ANY type of cancer is 1 in 285. (That's about 45 kids PER DAY)

Unfortunetly, childhood cancer research is severely underfunded- ONLY 4% goes to childhood cancer research. So kids (like Mikey) recieve the same treatments that adults do and suffer the same side effects...

So Mighty Mikey decided if he can help just by getting a hair cut, then why not???

Sometimes real superheros live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles.
