I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. I am also shaving my head to support those who have loved ones currently battling with cancer, and those who have lost loved ones who have succumbed to cancer. I, like many of those who are participating in St. Baldrick's events across the country, have family who have been personally affected by a cancer diagnosis. My mother was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 23. While she was diagnosed as an adult, Osteosarcoma is generally considered a pediatric form of cancer affecting children. My mother lost her leg and continues to support cancer funding and research today. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and has thankfully beat it! My grandfather eventually died of lung cancer, but had been diagnosed with five different types of cancer in his lifespan. While the cancers they dealt with may not have been pediatric, I believe that funding for cancer support and research is very important, and St. Baldrick's is an event in which I can do just that!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank you very much for your support!.
