My "why" story isn't unique. I attended Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tn for middle and high school. Before that, I attended a small elementary school, Bright, which is practically a feeder school for GPS and other prep schools in the area.
Classes were small, and friends felt like family. It was at Bright School, in preschool or Kindergarten that I met Susan Palmer Griffin. We grew up together, got into middle school together and progressed through high school together. She was the kind of person that made everyone feel loved and welcome. Active in sports, it was at her annual physical that she found out something was wrong. She tragically lost her battle to Leukemia at 16 years young at St. Jude's in Memphis.
I remember the email and the shock that rocked our class of 100 girls. I'm doing this for her. I'm doing this for every little girl and boy that deserves to grow up, and their friends and family who want to grow with them.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
