I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Portland Fire

Why would I shave my beautiful brunette locks off you ask? Well it's really not all that difficult when you realize that Children's Cancer research is severely underfunded and that 1 out of every 5 kids diagnosed with cancer won't survive!! I am honored that I can be a part of something as amazing as St. Baldricks and donate money towards helping kids everywhere! While all of the children that I know and my neices/nephews are healthy, lively, little bouncing bundles of joy (sometimes to literally) I have seen what cancer does to people. My mother has battled cancer my entire life and watching her go through the chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple procedures was excruciating! I can only imagine what this does to a child! I have seen sick children at work and brought them to and from Doctors appointments and have seen the strain that it puts on families! Shaving my head to raise money is an amazing idea. It's not everyday that a young lady decides to (or has enough guts) to shave their head. In my family being bald is pretty normal (with my mom and everything) and I am proud to rock a buzz cut for while b/c my hair will grow back and I want to give every opportunity for all these children's hair to grow back also!
