I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I am shaving my head on March 16, 2011 at the UMC fountains! I plan to donate my hair to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program. Unlike Locks of Love, Pantene gives the wigs they make to people who need them for free (Locks of Love usually charges anywhere between $3,500 and $6,000 per wig- doesn't sound very loving to me! EDIT: I recently learned that Locks of Love does give wigs to people for free but they adjust the price based on their financial need. Kinda neat but I still think that if you went through chemotherapy you deserve a free wig, regardless of your financial situation.)

My fundraising goal is $5,000 dollars, and while I can talk to local businesses all I want, your support is what will ultimately help me reach this goal. I believe that if we put our minds to it, we can make a huge difference in the world. So why not start today? Make a difference and donate!
