Welcome to my fundraising page. This year, I had an idea for a fun way to raise money for a cause that I believe in, with an organization that makes a difference. My idea was to start a game. This game's success depends on you and your involvement. I personally don't have any social media, but would appreciate you posting on yours. THE GAME:
I printed a large quantity of individually numbered fundraising Game Cards for this event. I believe that the power of fundraising is in reaching as many people as possible. You may have heard of the "five degrees of separation." Let's see if we can use this concept to our advantage. Each Game Card that I have printed has a "team" number on it. Here's how to play this fundraising game.
1. When you make a donation to SBF, please include a Card/Team number next to your name. By making a donation to SBF, you're now a teammate to everyone before and after you who uses that Card.
Example =
"Stephen Gaylord (Card/Team #78)"
2. Give the Card to someone that you think will likely make a donation to SBF, and ask them to pass the Card on to someone else once they've finished making a donation.
3. I will track the donations and which Card was used. The Card/Team that results in the most number of donations made, will be the winning team.
4. I will personally get the winning team members a prize. I haven't figured out what the prize will be, because I don't know how successful this game might be (maybe a SBF hoodie or shirt for each person on the winning team). I just thought I'd give it a try and pray for the idea to snowball into something powerful.
Wouldn't it be amazing if the Cards were able to reach across states or around the planet, all gathering donations that really make a difference!?!? This game ends on 13 March 2026 at 23:00 MST.
My starting goal this year is $3,000. This goal can and probably will change! If you or your business make a large donation, I will create a new milestone on my page, and raise the fundraising goal to aim even higher. Every donation adds up quickly and each donation is greatly appreciated.
Getting my head shaved is easy, but it’s more rewarding than words can say. It started with a simple, urgent need: funding research for childhood cancer treatments. Historically, children were often given treatments designed for adults, leading to devastating long-term side effects. This will be my 10th shave event, and the change I’ve seen is inspiring. Because of the St. Baldrick's Foundation, we are now funding new therapies and developing more options that give kids a better fighting chance—and a healthier future—minimizing the harsh consequences of many adult treatments.
