I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: ShAVING LIVES 2021

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: ShAVING LIVES 2021

That’s right- I’m Shaving my head to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research!

Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer- in the US 1 in 5 kids diagnosed will not survive. Only 4% of the billions of dollars the government spends annually on cancer research is directed towards treating childhood cancer. Childhood cancer research is underfunded- but with St Baldrick’s all donations go towards research.

I have been a Nurse on a pediatric Hematology/Oncology/ Bone marrow transplant unit for the past 2.5 years. Many people question how I can work where I work because it is “sad”. But honestly- I don’t see how anyone could NOT do what I do. These kiddos and families are some of the strongest people I know. They inspire me every day and I cannot imagine not being a part of their journey.

I have worked along some of the best doctors and nurses fighting with these kiddos and it breaks my heart to see how ugly this disease can effect these families. That’s why I am going to help bring awareness by shaving my head.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.

This kids deserve more❤️
