I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I have never felt so proud to be a Bearcat as when I watched teachers, students and administrators brave the shave to fight childhood cancers at Solvay's 2016 St. Baldrick's Event.  Through their efforts, I learned that childhood cancers develop differently and require different treatments than adult cancers, and that research on childhood cancer is majorly underfunded.

Every day I work with brilliant, funny, amazing teens who are making lives for themselves.  Watching them learn and overcome challenges is a joy - but cancer is a challenge that no child should have to face.

I am braving the shave to ensure that organizations that fund research to find treatments and cures for these diseases are adequately funded, so that all children have the opportunity to reach their potential!

Help me reach my fundraising goal!  You get to keep your hair, I get more aerodynamic, and together we help fight childhood cancers!
