I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I’m doing it again! A few years ago I joined the St. Baldrick’s movement and shaved my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. I set a pretty lofty goal and fell a bit short, but we still raised over $1500 together. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. These childhood cancers have touched my life too many times. I’ve I’ve cried as I watched a beautiful child slip away from this world and cheered as another won the fight and is now cancer free. I pray that childhood cancers never touch your life. But the sad fact is that they probably will. I don’t want to be a downer. That’s not my style, but I want to do something about it. Will you help me? Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Make a donation, and let’s raise $3000 by March 15. If we get to $2000 before then, I’ll shave my head into a mohawk and dye it green!

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
