I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Capitol Home Health Crusaders

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Capitol Home Health Crusaders

My son, Pierce was all boy! He loved the great outdoors; fishing, hunting, climbing trees and chasing frogs.  He was a typical 10 year old boy who enjoyed playing football and lacrosse and loved hanging out with his friends. His world changed, however, the day we learned that he had a brain tumor. This cancerous tumor would forever change our lives.  No child should ever have to hear those words and be tasked with fighting the disease.  Pierce faced his battle so bravely and I made a promise to him that I would never stop fighting.  Together with the help of family, friends, colleagues, a great community and the kindness of strangers, I will continue the fight in his memory.  I have decided to Brave the Shave.  That's right, I'm shaving my head in solidarity of kids everywhere who have faced this fight.  My goal is to help raise awareness about the underfunding of childhood cancer research!  And I'd like to think that somewhere out there in the great beyond, that a beautiful, blue-eyed boy has a grin on his face because his mom is about to Brave the Shave to help raise money to assist in the mission!

Thanks for your support.
