I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My name is Jack.  I am 7 years old, in first grade, and on Saturday, March 9th I'm going bald!  That's right - BALD!  I have volunteered to be a "shavee" at the St. Baldrick's event at Helen Fitzgerald's on March 9th.

I have been WAITING ALL YEAR to shave my head and am excited to fund research for childhood cancer which will help other boys and girls.  I have set a goal of personally raising $500 which will fund 20 hours of research!  If I can get to $1,000 it would support one kid in a clinical trial which is often their best hope for a cure.

Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded - so I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.  For those not aware, St. Baldrick's is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants - more than $253 million worldwide to date.

With a kid being diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes, I hope you will help me help them in their fights for long, healthy, cancer-FREE lives!  I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research, and now I need your help!  Every penny makes a difference!  If you are able, please consider donating to help cure childhood cancers.
