I am helping to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Swan

When our little boy, Brody was just 6 years old, he was diagnosed with leukemia. I will never forget sitting in the emergency room and hearing the words no parent is ever prepared for: “Your child has leukemia.”

Our world stopped — and a battle we never expected began. In that moment, nothing else mattered except finding a way to save him.

Brody lost his hair to chemotherapy. He lost his energy.

He lost years of childhood. But he never lost his courage.

We remember the beeping machines. The fevers that unexpectedly turned into long nights… which frequently turned into weekends and then weeks at a time spent in a hospital room. That pit in your stomach fear that we tried not to show.

And we remember the research — the treatments developed because someone chose to care.

Today, we’re raising money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation so other parents sitting in hospital rooms will have hope — real, tangible hope backed by science.

Your donation helps fund:

• Research that makes treatments safer for tiny bodies

• Breakthroughs for kids who relapse

• Clinical trials that give families another option when they feel like they’re out of options

• Doctors who dedicate their lives to curing childhood cancer

When you give, you are helping write a different ending for another child.

You are funding more birthdays.

More first days of school.

More graduations.

More ordinary, beautiful days families once feared they might never see.

Every dollar moves us closer to better cures — and fewer families hearing the words “your child has cancer.”

Because somewhere tonight, another family is sitting in a hospital room praying for a breakthrough. We can’t take away what Brody went through.

But we can help change what the next child will face.

Please click the donate button under Brody's picture at the top of this page to share in his honor and for every child still fighting to live another day.
