Hi! I'm Michael. I love to snowboard, skateboard, ride motocross & snowmobiles, and play hockey and baseball. I'm lucky enough to be able to do these things. Some kids, who love the same things, aren't so lucky, because they have more important things to do - like fight against cancer.
Cancer has touched my family: my grandmother succumbed to lung cancer. My aunt Olga was diagnosed with a form of cancer - so far, she has fought hard and been successful. They both had the opportunity to live a long time. I want everyone - every kid - to have that same opportunity.
I don't like being bald, but the kids who have cancer and are fighting it don't have a choice. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Maybe, if we all give a little, we can help infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
