Hello all! My name is Garrett!

As I enter my second year of medical school, I have had the opportunity to return to the very elementary school that helped shape who I am and give back to the next generation of students in my community. Working with these kiddos reminded me why I chose medicine in the first place. Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, pursue their dreams, and experience all of life's milestones.

Today, I carry those experiences with me as I help organize OIG’s first ever 5K in support of pediatric cancer research through the St. Baldrick's Foundation. No child should have to face cancer, and no family should have to navigate that journey alone. If you are able, please consider donating or joining us for the race. Together, we can support lifesaving research, bring hope to families, and help create a future where more children have the opportunity to simply be kids.
