I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Krista's Crusaders

I’m honored to once again participate in this year’s St. Baldrick’s event, where I’ll shave my head to stand in solidarity with children battling cancer and to help fund lifesaving childhood cancer research.

At 68 years old, going bald is a small sacrifice compared to what these brave kids endure through surgeries, treatments, and hospital stays. I do this in their honor, carrying them in my heart and drawing strength from their courage.

This cause is deeply personal to me. In 2003, my daughter Krista was diagnosed with a brain tumor—medulloblastoma—at just 7 years old. After years of surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, she passed away at 11. Through it all, her love for life and her faith never wavered.

Her light continues to shine. Two beautiful songs have been written in her honor, a reminder that her story still touches hearts and inspires others.

Our family experienced firsthand the urgent need for better, less toxic treatments designed specifically for children. That’s why I support St. Baldrick’s—because funding research gives kids hope for better outcomes and brighter futures.

If you’re able, please consider donating. Together, we can help change the future for children fighting cancer.

Thank you for your support—and have a blessed day.
