I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

On May 8th, 2013 the Notre Dame community received tragic news. One of the strongest individuals to step foot on the gridiron in South Bend had lost his battle with cancer. If you had the pleasure of meeting Asaph Schwapp (Ace) you would have left the conversation with two thoughts. The first - how can a human being have biceps the size of watermelons, and the second, how can a human being with biceps the size of watermelons be so caring for everyone he came in contact with (as long as they weren’t wearing a helmet…). My teammates and I were devastated the day we heard the news of Ace’s passing. As a way to honor our fallen teammate, a group of 7 of us will race the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. We set a difficult goal for our Escape from Alcatraz team this year: Raise $44k for ‪#‎44A‬. We’d greatly appreciate any support you can provide to help us reach this goal. My personal goal this year is to raise $3k. My donation page can be found on the link below. Thank you for considering a donation and for all the support you've provided me at different points throughout my life. I wouldn't be here without you all. If you know of any companies that would be interested in being a corporate donor for our triathlon team please reach out to me directly (or Mike Anello). We’re creating custom jerseys for the triathlon and will be placing sponsors logos on them. Thanks!
