Some of my little league team will be shaving their heads to raise money for cancer research along with folks from our community and the mayor of Indianapolis, among others. As our team's captain, I will be raising money, but more importantly, coaching and supporting them in their fundraising, passing on my of experience fundraising through Dance Marathons, St. Baldrick's, etc. to the next generation, teaching the importance of selflessness and sharing your kindness with others. Those of you who know my story know how important little things like this are to me.
I'm honoring Jack Klein, a local boy who played in Broad Ripple Haverford Little League before passing away, and the reason this event takes place each year.
I'm honoring Elliot Ogle who is near and dear to my heart; he's a fighter.
I'm honoring Tyler Trent, a beloved member of our Dance Marathon community.
I'm honoring Brooks Blackmore who inspired me to get involved in my first St. Baldrick's event.
Jack Klein's family will be specifically choosing where each and every cent goes so that no money is wasted.
