When I was 12, my best friend died from cancer. He had a rare muscle cancer called Rhabdomyoscarcomawhich took his life when he was just 7 years young. This year marks 20 years since he passed away, and I still think of him often. He was one of the sweetest little boys in the entire world. When he died, my world was turned upside down. It was so hard for me to understand why a child should be put through such pain, while others are able to walk along without a care in our world. I'm raising money for Jason, and his memory. I'm raising money for my momma who even when she was sick and dying from her own cancer all she talked about was how a child should never have to suffer in that way.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
