I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
I have decided to have my head shaved in memory of Joe Purdue. Joe is the son of my good friends who received the awful news last July that he was diagnosed with DIPG ( Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma ) at the age of 18. Joe fought hard with true bravery, courage, and character and sadly lost his battle on March 23 of this year. He and his story have inspired me to work with his parents to work tirelessly towards finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for this monster of a disease. Please find it in your heart to give towards this all too important cause and objective to prevent someone's child in the future from facing what Joe had to face. It was his dream.
