I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Jackson

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Jackson

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research in honor Jackson Schmidt!

7 months ago my dear friend Carrie and her husband Mike lost their son to cancer....a cancer they didn’t even know he had. By the time they found out he only had hours and days to live. Can you imagine taking your child to the hospital on a Sunday to get them checked out because something was just not right.  To the following Saturday he was gone.

Jackson’s mom Carrie and I bonded over the St. Baldricks foundation because she too just like myself had gone bald for this cause. Jackson last March raised $1200 in one day to be a shavee for St. Baldricks. Who would have thought this amazing 7 year old would die a few months later. We figured that when he shaved his head in March he most likely had it.  He was so excited about life, he was the most beautiful human being I had the high honor in meeting a few times. He is was the best big brother, son, grandson, nephew, & friend to many. This year on March 7th at Helen Fitzgerald’s I will be honoring Jackson by shaving my head for this amazing soul. A soul that continues to shine bright everyday from the heavens. So please consider to donate to me for Jackson! I want to tell Jackson’s younger brother Ivan that I did my very best to raise awareness for his hero, his very best friend, & I honored his big brother.

I want to make sure so that no other family has to endure this horrific loss as his family has. Childhood cancer is NOT rare! It kills the innocent everyday...it needs to stop. It needs more funding...it needs to be screamed loudly that there needs to be an end to children dying daily from it. So please take a moment donate...I know my hair will grow back and I know I can’t bring Jackson back. What I can bring is more awareness!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
