I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Baldacious Baldies

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Baldacious Baldies

My yearly hair cut is just around the corner!

On March 25 I’ll be shaving my head for St. Baldrick’s once again. St. Baldrick’s is something in my life that I really look forward to doing, even though I don’t like getting my hair cut. I know that my hair can help raise money to be used to find a cure.

I am lucky to have friends who also want to help other kids and together we all shave our heads to help raise money for pediatric cancer research. And raising money for pediatric cancer is really important because all types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of US federal funding for cancer research.

If you don’t have enough money to share that’s ok, you can help in other ways. You can join a St. Baldrick’s team and shave your head, write a nice card for a sick child, buy a hat from loveyourmelon.com, donate blood or you could even donate books to your local children’s hospital to help the kids know you care. And please do not forget to sign up to be an organ donor, it’s easy, free and means a lot to me. Thank you for helping me make a difference in this world!
