I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: C1 and Friends

I'm honored to help raise money for the second year in a row for St Baldrick's!

Not only did last year’s event inspire me, it inspired my 11 year old son Cam to join the fight too. We’ve partnered and will be doing this year’s event together on March 25, 2017. In his own words:

“I’m joining the team this year because I understand how hard it is for a child with cancer and their family. I want to help by being part of the solution. It was inspiring to watch the St Baldrick’s event last year because it raised money for research and also was great to see everyone shaving their heads. People affected by cancer can lose their hair and this shows we stand proudly beside them. Cancer can affect anyone no mater age, race or nationality so it is important for us to get involved and help doctors and researchers find a cure.”

Along with the obvious needs to research and cure the more than 20 childhood cancers, recent studies show that 95% of childhood cancer survivors develop chronic health problems and 80% will have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they reach age 45. St Baldrick’s also provides funding for research focused on preventing this lifelong damage resulting from surgeries, radiation and chemo-therapies given while young bodies and brains are just developing.

Please join us in raising money for this very worthy cause and check back to see our "after" pictures in late March.
