I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. This will be my third time to be shaved and stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Last year was a tough year for everyone, however even with the pandemic in full swing my family and friends still managed to donate over $4K! Please join the effort to fight childhood cancer by supporting me this year with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

Large public shaving events are not happening again this year due to the continuing COVID-19 (Coronovirus) pandemic situation. However, my dad and I intend to conduct our own shaving event in our front yard (125 N. Rosemont Ave., Dallas, TX) again like we did last year. We have scheduled our shave for Thursday, June 17, at about 7:15.  We are trying to arrange for some entertainment in addition to our funny shaved looks, but with our without it we will be livestreaming the event on Facebook Live. Everyone is invited to attend in person or watch online. Please plan to come on out if you can and watch me lose my hair, and have a good time.

P.S. In recognition of this being my third time to be shaved and stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, I will be joining the ranks of the Squire of Hope. I’m very excited about that.
