I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Good, The Bald, and The Ugly

Greetings and welcome to another year of fund raising for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. As I enter the fourth year of shaving my head to help find a cure for children's cancer, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated "on my head" in previous years. Your generosity is the first step in finding a cure to help end the misery and suffering so many children have endured. I greatly appreciate all of your efforts and am counting on you to help me to reach my fund raising goal this year. For anyone who might be thinking of donating for the first time or wondering what this organization is all about, I'll explain that very simply - you pledge a dollar amount on my head (any amount at all); the money collected helps fund invaluable cancer research; my head gets shaved (the immediate reward for your generosity). Raising money in this fashion might seem a bit ridiculous, but over the past 10 years St Baldrick's has raised over $68 million! To steal a catch phrase from the NYS Lottery, "That's $68... Million...Dollars! If you're still skeptical, please browse through the web site and read the stories, both good and bad. Pediatric cancer is real. It steals the lives of thousands of beautiful children every year. We need to find a cure and St Baldrick's is helping fund the research that will hopefully do just that. Thank you for your time, your willingness to help and your generosity. All of these sick children need us to fight for them; I'm willing to put my hair on the "chopping block", I hope you will be able to support me.
