I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Boundary Stone

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let's #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

Hi All! IT'S 2020!!! Another year has passed and here we are. I am still here, breathing, walking and doing my best to be a good and helpful human. As I am getting older (now 49), I am so grateful for my life, including the good, hard, sad, and all that has to do with living in this world. With each experience I remember something that helps me to keep moving forward. Growing up I swam all summer long, played softball, lacrosse, soccer, went to college and tried to figure out my passions. one of my passions is Early Childhood Education, doing everything I can to bring out and nourish each child's interests, what is important to them at whatever moment through love and sometimes just sitting down and listening. Since the first time I shaved my head, I would let the children know what I was doing and why. In the simplest terms, I am asking for money from the people in my life and some new, to join me in raising money to help 'the Doctors'( St. Baldrick's )help sick children to get better. I tell them that I shave my hair because sometimes the sick children lose their hair from the medicine and they feel like they look weird or feel uncomfortable. When they see me with no hair, they say, "hey, you don't have any hair either?" and maybe they don't feel so worried about not having hair for a while. Truth be told, I don't like having hair! So, getting a fresh shave it is my reward for raising money! I also like to keep it shaved because it starts a conversation and can inspire others to join the fight for kids with cancer as it has for me. Love, Beth Ann Moore
