I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Too many people in my life have been affected by cancer in some way and their stories impact me everyday. My one friend has been cancer free for a little over 14 years (she's currently 20 years old), and her impact on my life has been tremendous. Although I did not know her while she was undergoing treatment (I met her a few years later), her strength and childish ways when we were young demonstrated that every kid no matter what the circumstances deserves to be and act like a kid. In addition I'm doing this for my mother, Dianne, who lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer in October 2011. Her hope to survive and live to see another day with my family inspired me to do this. Her smiling face no matter how bad her day had been, made me smile even though I knew she just wanted everything to be normal for our family. I will love her til the end of time for her strength and courage to fight this awful disease and for being a mother in the hardest of times. This is a cause I genuinely believe in, and it means the world to me that I finally get to do this. I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. A volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research grants. Your gift will give hope to infants through young adults fighting childhood cancers, so I'm really asking you to support these kids.Thank you!
