"Every day, rather than being the reason change is necessary; be the facilitator and CREATE change."

~ © Carla Hood

Today and every day, I do my best to be that facilitator, to create change #ForTheKids.

#BecauseOfKeaton

We need to work harder and invest in making sure that kids like Keaton have so many more opportunities to achieve all their goals in life. That they see many more than just 5 Birthdays, that their families have more time with them.

#BecauseOfDJ (Dx at 14 with Stage 3B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma/then dx’d 30 Years 4 Days later with Stage 4 Primary Peritoneal Mesothelioma)

We need SAFER, LESS TOXIC treatments. No child, no family should be faced with the possibility and probability of the treatment they receive upon their initial diagnosis will in all likelihood cause a secondary cancer - even many years later.

#BecauseOfMasonStrong

No child should be left behind. Every child should have options available, assistance at the ready, their needs met to the very best possible extent. They should never be allowed to slip through the cracks!

#BecauseOfEveryChild

Every child should have the chance to get their first tooth, to say their first word, to take their first step, to run/jump/climb/play, to turn 5, to go to school, to make friends, to learn to drive a car, to get their drivers license, to graduate High School, to get a job, to go to college, to graduate college, to get married, to have a family of their own, to be able to watch their kids grow up —- the fact is, every child should have the chance to GROW UP and GROW INTO OLD AGE!

BECAUSE KIDS LIKE KEATON SHOULD HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES IN LIFE!

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?

Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.

Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
