Why am I shaving my head for the 9th time with St. Baldrick’s? Because of Mac. Because of Zach. Because of Kyle. Because of Skylar. Because of some of our other local, honored kids, Wes, Jo, Isaac, Olivia, Pearson, Liam, Bella, Ty, Kaylee, Brynlee, Mac, Chloe, Jayden, Ben, Taylor, Cecelia, Dakoda, Eli and Morgan. Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. And, sadly, I know too many children who perhaps would be here to tell their tale if we had a cure.
I do know at least one young man, no longer a child, who had his life saved because of a St. Baldrick's grant. I also know one young man, no longer a child, who needs a St. Baldrick's grant to save him from his very recent 3rd positive diagnosis. We have to help save our kids. They all fight so hard. We need to fight hard too.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Every TWO MINUTES some kid, some where, in our world is diagnosed with cancer. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
