I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head (and yes, if the fundraising goes really well, I'll toss in my beard) with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! As many of you know, I have two children- Henry, aged 5 (almost 6!), and Oliver, aged 3 (almost 4!). They are a constant reminder to me of the preciousness of life. Did you know that every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive? I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.

Incentives:

Give $50- I'll sing your name and a thank you while having my beard shaved

Give $75- I'll sing your name and a thank you while having my head shaved

Give $100- I'll sing any song (one chorus or verse) you name while having my head shaved (past favorites have been the fight songs of schools that aren't MSU, and Christina Aguilera songs)

Additionally, on March 20th, I'll be running one mile for every $500 donated. If our fundraising beats last year's total of $3,154, I will run 6 miles dressed as a leprechaun (proof  will be provided in the form of photo and/or video).
