Childhood cancer sucks! The battle became personal a few years ago when I watched one of my closest friends have a child die because of this disease. No child or their family should have to go through this. Help me raise funds for pediatric cancer research so that we can help make a difference. I"ll be shaving my head at the URJ Biennial in November to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.
Instead of standing idly by, I decided to do something to make a difference. You can join me at the Biennial to see the shave in action (or sign up to be a shavee yourself), and join me virtually by making a donation today. Any amount helps. Why not kick in a nice Jewish number like $18, $36, $72, or $3600? Do it for the kids, and to see me have a very cold head this winter. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
I'm shaving my head in honor of Sam Sommer and his family. You can learn his story in the video to the right.
