I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Horizon Prosthetics

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Horizon Prosthetics

I'm shaving my head to honor my late friend, Gabe. Her strength was an inspiration to all of us, and this small (temporary) sacrifice pales in comparison to her daily fight. She, and several others I've lost to this disease, make me want to do anything in my power to help raise money in support of finding a cure. If I can prevent one other person from experiencing this loss, anything is worth it to me...even all of my hair.

When I was a child, my best friend was diagnosed with what was believed to be a terminal cancer at just a few months old. With access to experimental treatments, he was able to live into his twenties. Any advancement that gives children and their families additional time together is an incredible gift.

In my line of work, I'm given a heavy dose of perspective on a daily basis. I am regularly reminded what it really means to fight for something better. As much as I'm dreading saying goodbye to my hair as I know it for the next 1-2yrs, it truly is the least I can do to help motivate others to donate to such an amazing organization.

Please donate what you can and spread the word about what we are doing! Every dollar really makes a difference for the thousands of children, young adults and their families affected by this disease!
