I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bald Bulldogs

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bald Bulldogs

Hello, my name is Aldo T. This is my sixth year participating in St. Baldrick's. When I was in elementary school, I had a friend named Summer. She was a very kind person who always loved to go to school and was my classmate in school until she passed away six years ago from a brain stem glioma. When I discovered that she was going through this, my best friend Seth and I wondered if there was anything we could do for her. This is when we learned about St. Baldrick's, a non-profit organization where people raise money and shave their heads for childhood cancer research. After learning about this great organization, we made the decision to sign up as a shavee and raise money so we would be able to help out Summer and many other kids who also have childhood cancer at beating childhood cancer. Ever since those events, Seth and I have been participating in St. Baldrick's so that no kid would have to endure what Summer had.

When I was in middle school, I met a kid named Adam. He was my classmate and friend who I had classes with. I learned from him that he also fought against a different type of cancer in his past. He fought against acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Thanks to treatment at a hospital, Adam was able to beat the acute lymphoblastic leukemia that he was diagnosed with. I am very glad that Adam was able to beat childhood cancer and my hope is that other kids diagnosed with childhood cancers are also able to beat them as Adam was able to.

In order to help the fight against childhood cancer, I am participating in St. Baldrick's and am raising money to go towards research that will help many others in their fight against childhood cancer. In order to do this, I need your help. If you are able to, please make a donation to help support my efforts in helping others battle childhood cancer! Even donating a little can go a long way towards saving a child's life and allowing them to beat childhood cancer. My goal is to raise $310.000 this year for childhood cancer research. Thank you to everyone who has donated to me in the previous years I have participated in St. Baldrick's! Without you, I wouldn't have been able to raise the total amount of $1,680 that I have in support of finding a cure for kids whose lives depended on the childhood cancer research I am raising money for. I would also like to thank you for taking time out of your day to consider helping my efforts towards this cause!
