                Joseph “J.T.” Thomas Higgs, 17 months, gained his angel wings Thursday, June 8, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 13 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14 at Bladenboro Historical Building in Bladenboro. In honor of J.T., the family requests that you come in casual dress or in your “J.T.” attire (T-shirt, hat, etc.).

He is survived by his parents, Jacobe Higgs and Kelsey Cox of the home; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Nancy Higgs of Elizabethtown; great-paternal grandmothers, Maryann Haymaker of Virginia and Sally Rebyak of Pennsylvannia; uncle, Joshua Higgs of Wilmington; maternal grandparents, Robin and Candy Cox of Bladenboro; maternal great-grandmother, Joyce Campbell of Sanford; maternal great-grandparents, Craven and Lillie Sealey of Evergreen; and aunt, Haley Cox of Raleigh.
