Kaylee Elizabeth Brady, 15, of the Town of Ulster, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City after a courageous battle with Burkitt’s Leukemia. She was born on December 5, 2002 in Kingston. Kaylee attended Miller Middle School and then most recently was a Freshman at Kingston High School.

Kaylee was the most fierce, brave, courageous, fearless person anyone could have had the pleasure to meet. Her spunk and sass made her adored by many, especially during her fight. The staff of D7 at Albany Medical Center will tell you she spoke her mind and was never afraid to challenge what was being done. She controlled her health care, which was impressive at only 15. She became educated, asked questions, and never failed to voice her concerns if something wasn’t being done by protocol. There was never a doubt in her mind that she wanted to win this battle. She approached her treatment with grace and her head held high, without hesitation, complaint, or fear. Kaylee left an impression on everyone she met, leaving each with memories and lessons, which is exactly what she would have wanted most. She will forever be her family's hero, and now their guardian angel. She will continue watching over her parents and her siblings just as she did here on Earth.
