My Story

Morgan had been a normal, energetic kid; he played basketball and took karate classes. Then we noticed his energy level had dropped, and he was very pale, so a visit to his pediatrician turned out to be the first step of a very hard journey for Morgan. Most of his treatment for leukemia took place at The Children's Hospital in Denver. Once he was in remission, he had a 3-year course of treatment involving numerous spinal taps and chemotherapy. Half-way through the 3 years, he relapsed and the only way to save his life was through a bone marrow transplant. Today, 2 years later, he is cancer-free, although he has a 40% chance of relapsing in his lifetime. For the sake of Morgan and all the other children who are fighting for their lives, we must do all we can to find a cure for childhood cancer so their greatest wish will come true -- they will live to see tomorrow.
